To the clients and caregivers we serve

In addition to continuing to closely monitor the ongoing COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak according to the information provided by the Centers for Disease Control (https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/index.html) we at CABA are also remaining up-to-date with our local governing agencies. We are continuing to follow all established guidelines for providing in-home services, including directives from Insurance companies, School Districts, Credentialing partners, and Regional Centers.

We are writing now to provide an update on the SAFER AT HOME ORDER FOR CONTROL OF COVID-19, released by the County of Los Angeles Department of Public Health earlier this evening. Same as the “SHELTER IN PLACE” order released in Northern California earlier this week, both directives clearly define how these orders DO NOT apply to “Essential Businesses” including (but not limited to): Grocery stores, Gas stations, Banks, Health and Human services, and much more (www.lacounty.gov).

CABA services are continuing at this time. We are continuing to further increase our safety precautions (e.g., additional sanitation supplies, further restrictions on community outings, etc.).

Finally, in order to protect against potential future disruptions in service provision, we are also actively pursuing potential additional avenues (e.g. Telehealth) to provide support to our non-Community Living clients in the event that our local and national governing bodies, Insurance companies, School Districts, Credentialing partners, and Regional Centers direct us to discontinue services.

Please know that we are doing absolutely everything that we can to support you during these challenging times.

As always, we thank you for your trust in CABA.
